Pineapples: Low 'Season

Pineapples are one of many exciting topics in our latest food news. A partner from Kenya reports: Basically, June, July and August are always a "low season" due to the cooler temperatures.

Due to flooding and heavy rainfall this year, however, the expert even speaks of a"Low Low Season". This was because there was so little raw material for weeks that production was not possible (similar to Thailand). In September, the harvest situation seemed to ease somewhat and the shortfalls were slowly made up. Now we are looking forward to Thailand, where the winter harvest is slowly starting. Just yesterday, however, we received bad news and forecasts regarding harvest quantities and the nitrate content of the fruit. You can find more information in the Food News.

By the way: Our pineapples are available in different cut sizes. What exactly they are, here.
