For her, the many statements at the German and European level are essential. "These were in part so successful that we were able to prevent legislation that was detrimental to our members. We have managed to give the Waren-Verein a strong voice in the political arena." For Jeanette Gonnermann, new, innovative business models are also important: "Especially in a very traditional trade sector like ours, we have to keep our eyes and ears open here so that our member companies are not overtaken on the left."
