A farm store and preserves don't go together? Oh yes they do! The best example is Gut Ingold, which is located in Beigarten, south of Munich.
Valerie Hendriock's family is the 7th generation to run the farm. In an interview with Food News, which will be published next Thursday, she says: "Canning is an ecological, environmentally friendly way of processing products regionally and making them available to another region where food cannot be cultivated in the required quantities." And: "The can does not require refrigeration and can be wonderfully recycled. So it fits perfectly into the sustainability concept of a farm store."
