August 15: Ferragosto

In Italy, one of the country's most important religious and family holidays is celebrated today, August 15: Ferragosto (in German: Feast Day of Augustus or mid-August).

Families go on vacation, factories come to a standstill, stores remain closed or have reduced opening hours. With this in mind: Buon Ferragosto to all those celebrating it. In our previous Food News, we reported on this in more detail and pointed out in advance what this summer break means for logistics.
