Shipping traffic: Rising freight rates

5,806 US dollars - this was the global average freight cost for a 40-foot container on July 25. They have therefore risen further compared to June (see our chart).

The exact reasons? A combination of geopolitical and economic factors. We reported on this in more detail in our previous Food News.
