From May 1, heavy goods vehicles weighing over 44 tons will no longer be allowed to use the Köhlbrand Bridge in the Port of Hamburg.

In the late 17th century, the pineapple was a real status symbol. Brought to Europe from Guadeloupe, the fruit was considered a rare luxury item and was presented as a showpiece. Today, the „Smooth Cayenne“ variety in particular plays a central role in processing. It is mainly grown in Thailand, Indonesia and Kenya and is characterized by its intense aroma and balanced acidity. A distinction is made between the „Standard“, „Choice“ and „Fancy“ qualities depending on the degree of ripeness. The degree of sweetness is measured by the Brix value - lightly sugared goods are usually 14 - 17 Brix and ensure a balanced ratio of fruit and sweetness.
