Preserve Day: August 25, 2023

The tin can is celebrating its birthday today and we are happy to celebrate with it! After all, it is the basis for the foundation of Paul M. Müller in 1956, but the tin can is even older!

As early as August 25, 1810, the British merchant Peter Durand registered the patent for the first tin can - at that time a large can made of tinplate. Today, 213 years later, it is an integral part of many supplies worldwide in a wide variety of sizes. For us at Paul M. Müller, too, the can is still present on a daily basis: our high-quality foodstuffs are optimally protected by it and have a long shelf life. Thanks to its low weight, less energy is required for transport than for glass packaging, for example.
Who will join the party today and let the can lids chirp? You will find suitable recipes on our ADRIA page.
